Team Play Update: Division Champs and Bracket Bound!

Team Play gave us a lot to be proud of this season — both Los Verdes teams won their divisions and have officially advanced to the playoff brackets. That’s a big accomplishment and absolutely something to celebrate. Congratulations to every player who teed it up and represented LVMGC with great golf, great attitudes, and steady commitment all season long.

Group 11 Champions: Los Verdes GC

One of the highlights comes from Group 11, where Los Verdes GC finished on top with an outstanding season record of 5 wins, 0 losses, and 1 tie, earning 11 group points and leading the division with 279 match points. Costa Mesa CC finished second with 8 group points and 195 match points, followed by Lakewood GC and El Dorado Park GC.

To punch the ticket into the brackets, Los Verdes delivered a dominant performance, defeating Costa Mesa CC 59 to 5 — and they did it on a rainy day, when conditions were tough and every swing required focus. That kind of result doesn’t happen by accident. It’s the payoff of teamwork, preparation, and players stepping up when it matters most.

Team Play Update: Weekend Team Wins the Division — Again!

More great news from Team Play — our weekend team clinched the division title with a big win in their final match, and they’re headed into the playoff brackets with momentum.

Group 19 Champions: Los Verdes GC

Los Verdes topped Group 19 with a strong season showing: 5 wins, 1 loss, earning 10 group points and finishing with 237 match points. Right behind them were Rancho Park GC (8 group points) and La Cañada-Flintridge CC (6 group points), with Griffith Park GC rounding out the group.

Division-clinching win

In the last match of the season, Los Verdes delivered when it mattered most, defeating La Cañada-Flintridge CC 50 to 14 to secure first place in the division.

Three-peat!
